Pros / Cons for

Shock resistant and easily restored.
Is highly hygienic thanks to its non-porous structure which prevents bacteria and other microbes to latch on to the surface.
Resistant to acids and to tea, juice or wine stains.
Easily maintained, all it takes is a soft washcloth, warm water and a little of commonly used detergent.
May be available is a variate palette of colors and finishing.
Has an above-average resistance to scratches or matting.

May be susceptible to high temperatures.
May have visible link points if not made of a single slab.
May present signs of discoloration from prolonged exposure to UV rays.

Durability. With a careful use, the marble keeps its structure for any length of time.

Cracks and delamination do not appear on the inside of the stone and no splinters are formed on the surface.
Ease in handling. Plasticity and low density of this material allows it to be processed without any problems.

Requires a high level of care.
Relatively high purchasing and maintenance costs.
Sensible to various acids. Exposure to acids may lead to corrosion of this mineral.

In order for it to be resistant to stains, the material must be processed.
Has high weight, which must be propped by a solid support.
The liquids with high acidity may stain the granite if not removed in due time.
For unique models, in case of cracking and spoiling of a portion, the substitution of the deficient portion is difficult.
